Five different types of wooden domes for temporary facilities were requested by the organizers of the Milan Expo. They were designed as spinoffs from the Italian pavilion project for the Milan Expo 2015 international competition. All elements are coordinated and produced by Grasshopper and CNC (Computer Numeric Control) except the foundations. Computer Aided Production made it
possible for the designer to treat the form more rapidly, even in the field of wooden dome construction.
