Entrance hall interior design
Barcelona, Spain
2006-2009
Project Architect: Kazuko Fujie Atelier for Arata Isozaki & Associates
Client: Habitat
Lucia has closely collaborated with the japanese atelier led by Kazuko Fujie who was commissioned by the studio of Arata Isozaki to develop a special design for the lobby of the office building Distrito 38 in Barcelona.
The project was marked by the selection of materials: black terrazzo with metallic grafts for the floor, spanish alabaster for the elevators boxes and the sculpture/bench who rules the whole inner space, a white ondulated surface for the ceiling and aluminium frames to filter the exterior light. The final result was a diaphanous atmosphere with a strong character and a feeling of quiet and composure.
